Visiting a church service can be an unsettling experience. Whether you’re coming back to church or you’re trying it out for the first time, we know this is a big step for you. Our prayer is that, after your visit, you will begin to rethink your perspective on God and the Church.
The following is a survival guide to visiting Rock Branch Independent Church:
Sunday School begins at 9:45. We meet in the Sanctuary for a time of fellowship together. We usually have the King's Kids sing for us. After a time of prayer, we will dismiss to our respective Sunday School classes. We have two different adult classes and graded children and youth classes. Come a few minutes early to make sure you get a good seat.
When you walk in the foyer, you will most likely be greeted by one of our members who will hand you a visitor packet. Please take a few minutes to complete the registration card and then drop it in the offering plate when it is passed around during the service.
The nursery and children's classrooms are in the basement, with stairs on the right of the foyer. You can rest assured that your child will receive the very best of care while you are here.
Ages for the nursery are 6 mos. up to 2 years old. We have a class for children 2-5 years old during the worship service as well.
Adults, teenagers and children age 6 and up gather in the Sanctuary for the morning service. The atmosphere is friendly, and you can expect people to greet you. We want you to feel welcome. People of all ages seem to enjoy our services.
We receive an offering as a part of our worship activities. As our guest, you are not expected to contribute. The only things we ask you to place in the offering basket are the completed visitor card and any prayer requests you have written on the prayer request card found in your Visitor Package.
We also meet on Sunday evenings at 5:30 pm for choir practice. If you enjoy singing, come be a part of the choir. Our Sunday evening worship begins at 7:00 pm.
On Wednesday evening, we meet at 7:00 pm. We have graded classes in the basement for Pre-K through 5th grade. Our youth meets in the Activity building for a great time of fellowship and Bible study.
There are lots of good churches in the surrounding area. We hope you'll give ours a try. You will only be a visitor once at Rock Branch. We sure hope to see you at our next service!
